Welcome to this month’s edition of A Peaceful Pause.

A Peaceful Pause is one of my regular monthly offerings for my closed Substack community, along with The Reset.

Each month A Peaceful Pause features a guided audio practice from me.

There’s now 18 months’ worth of guided meditations in the A Peaceful Pause archive which you can find all in one place here.

If you’re currently a free subscriber, upgrading your subscription will give you access to all my new meditation and yoga practices here as well as my growing archive of all posts.

Not able to afford a paid subscription but value my offerings? Buy me a Ko-Fi and/or give this post a like ❤️

Slow Living in the Big City with Paula Hines is a reader-supported publication. Free subscribers receive 2 posts per month. Paid subscribers currently receive 4-5 posts per month including two recorded practices from me (yoga and meditation), as well as full access to my growing archive from just £1 per week. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Give yourself 10 minutes of calm.

October is Menopause Awareness Month

If you’re in London and would like to practice with me in-person this Menopause Awareness Month, I’d love you to join me for Embracing Second Spring: A Yoga for Menopause Mini-Retreat. This event will take place on Sunday 27th October at Embody Wellness in Vauxhall. Find full details and book your place at the Embody website here.

Sometimes the menopause transition can be a lot! (IYKYK)

Research suggests that mindfulness may be associated with a reduction in menopause symptoms.

With this in mind, this month’s edition of A Peaceful Pause is a guided meditation - with mindfulness at its heart - to give you 10 minutes of calm whenever you need and especially for when the stress that menopause can sometimes bring all feels too much.

(NB - In case you missed it, why not try this yoga for menopause practice too. See below.)
