In this month’s edition of The Reset I invite you to take some time to tend to your heart with a gentle floor-based practice (though you could also do this from bed too).  

For this class we’re focussing on Anahata – the Heart Chakra. Anahata is the fourth energy centre in the seven chakra system. 

Some of the qualities of a balanced Heart Chakra and ways this can manifest include: 

  • Self-love and acceptance 

  • Our ability to receive and give love 

  • Our capacity for forgiveness and compassion 

  • Our capacity for joy 

  • Greater self-awareness 

  • Our ability to cultivate meaningful relationships 

Props – for this practice I’d suggest having the following to hand: 

  • 1 pillow (or 1 bolster) 

  • A blanket 

Optional extras: 

  • An eye cover
