I’ve been a bit of a worrier in my time and in certain circumstances I still can be. So, while I would be lying if I said I was immune from all worry, I will say that one of the joys of being in my late forties is having reached a stage of no longer worrying about some of the things I used to. Here’s a few:
Not doing all the things
In my OM Magazine column about five years ago I wrote about FOMO in relation to the amount of time I was then spending on social media. I was reminded of this via a recent post by Emma Gannon on the joy of missing out (JOMO). In my forties a shift occurred where I finally realised that I don’t need or want to do all the things. FOMO is overrated. I’d rather take quality over quantity.
