I know that social media is typically a series of highlight reels whose curation is to be taken with a pinch salt, but one of the reasons I’m still on Instagram is partly because I like to see midlife women and women older than me enjoying their lives. Enjoying being who they are in their fullness.
Midlife women are often dealing with a lot, whether that includes being a parent or not. Throw into the mix the impact that hormonal shifts can have on many of us (I wrote a bit about that here) and it’s no surprise that for all sorts of reasons we can end up putting ourselves last in our own lives.
